Chung! Ho!
[Applause]
Next, in the blue tie, at age 55, height 5`8, weight 163 Pounds. A safeguarder of small business who lectures in rhyme...Guardian of Small Business! Presenting Kim Moon Kyum!
[Appaluse]
Now I present to you, our very attractive, American referee...Casey!!
Casey Lartigue, Jr.:
Yeah, Casey Lartigue`s on the scene,
American born, Harvard brain to intervene
Korea`s cool, I live here
Everybody, has great character
But there are too many fights
Small biz versus big biz
I'll be the referee
Round 1¡¦Drop it now.
ROUND 1
President Kim Chung Ho:
Listen up y`all, welcome to my show, Free Enterprise President, Kim Chung Ho.
Here I am making the economy grow, but my foes just want to block my flow.
You focus on small business but I reach to the voiceless. I`m talking to you, consumers!
You ever try buying a TV? Prices slashed so deeply
used to be 5 mil`s [5 million won] 2 years later, it`s 1500
No doubt my words aren`t phony, Korean TV`s are better than Sony`s
And if parts determined the cost, 5 Mil, is what you`d be paying still.
If voters own the government, consumers own the economy.
Focus on growth, sure, but rising prices demand another second to think.
Professor Kim Moon Kyum:
Protector and guardian of Small Biz, call me Kim Moon Kyum, if you please.
Consumers buying TVs and blue collar worker bees, I can`t distinguish, is it just me?
The two are the same, don`t you agree?
Youth can`t find work, situation is dire, 1 million unemployed, but salaries so small
Small business can`t afford to hire. Delivery prices rise, small businesses lose it all
If Small biz lets go, no telling what will be, if everyone's fired, who will buy TV`s?
Did you know? 80% of our jobs are small business bound,
Small biz rises, unemployment goes down, and the economy grows when competition's around
Chorus:
Let`s replace selfishness with competition in good faith ho-ooooo
If we all respect each other, WE CAN Do it!
Even if our hearts and mind unite, our lives are still too short
Don't fight over salaries and pay, WE CAN Do it!
Casey Lartigue, Jr.:
Yeah tell me how you like `em now. CH Kim for the consumers
Quality and price comes first,
MK Kim for small biz
Saves them by blocking big biz.
SSM they don`t see eye to eye
Who`s wrong who`s right?
You decide. Round 2. Drop it now.
ROUND 2
Kim Moon Kyum:
SSM`s a champion of heavyweights, the neighborhood fruit market is a lightweight
The two, face off? It makes no sense. Corner stores will have no defense
In a contest without judges, the verdicts are obvious and sudden,
SSM`s price-cutting punches knock out neighborhood stores by the dozen
That means our job is, most importantly, to protect the little man with policies
to create fair markets in a kind economy.
Kim Chung Ho:
Remember the case of the cheap chicken? Delicious and cheap,
consumer-driven success was a given
Boxing match? No! This is economic competition
High quality and low prices is the winner`s condition
If business wants to be nice, sell quality products at a low price.
Keep honest policies regardless their size and a business` success will be no surprise.
Serve the consumer, tell no lies, because consumers have the power to buy.
Chorus:
Let`s replace selfishness with competition in good faith ho-ooooo
If we all respect each other, WE CAN Do it!
Even if our hearts and mind unite, our lives are still too short
To fight over salaries and pay, WE CAN Do it!
